## What the docs don't say

- The IAPD data page says datasets should not be read as an adviser's registration status; advisers awaiting SEC approval may appear in the datasets but not in IAPD search.
- The compilation feed for individual adviser representatives (169 MB) is listed alongside the firm feeds; this record covers firm-level use only.
- The FOIA, IAPD Form ADV Data, IAPD compilation and EDGAR access pages read state no license or reuse terms. Warranty wording is on some pages only: the IAPD compilation page says "we cannot guarantee its accuracy" (capture evidence/sec-form-adv-data/adviserinfo-sec-gov-compilation.txt), the SEC's Information About Registered Investment Advisers page says "we can not guarantee its accuracy" (capture evidence/sec-form-adv/sec-ia-page-text.txt), and the EDGAR access page says of its own files that it does "not guarantee accuracy or scope". The FOIA page and the IAPD Form ADV Data page carry no such text.
- The SEC says it has no data for state-registered advisers on the FOIA page; the IAPD compilation page lists a separate state investment adviser report.
- The FOIA page and the IAPD Form ADV Data page give different accounts of where the .csv files live and which periods they cover; see the note on the docs URL.
